Green Bay Packers linebacker Erik Walden did a little too much celebrating on Thursday, it appears.
After the Packers dispatched the Detroit Lions, Walden returned to Green Bay and was arrested for suspicion of felony domestic violence-substantial battery Friday morning around 6:10. The victim — Walkden’s live-in girlfriend — was treated for a cut and bump on her head and an injured right hand, at St. Vincent Hospital.
Walden is sitting in jail until Monday morning because Brown County Circuit Court was closed Friday.
Walden, 26, was booked into the Brown County Jail at 8 a.m.
“The officer felt that were was enough information that was given by the victim that the male was arrested,” Bani said.
The Packers said the organization is aware of the situation involving Walden and is gathering more information.
Good work.
Walden has 41 tackles and three sacks on the season and he’s started all 11 of the Packers’ games.
The question now is, do the Packers cut ties with Walden or see how the situation plays out?
