As if this fire needed anymore fuel…
The Atlanta Falcons are already pissed off, mostly because they were exposed as a bunch of pretenders after the Green Bay Packers thrashed them 48-21 in the playoffs last season. They’re probably going to be a little angrier after Packers nose tackle B.J. Raji called them cheap, though.
Raji said the Falcons offensive linemen are notorious for cheap shots after the whistle.
“The reason behind it, one, that’s how they’re coached, and, two, lack of ability,” he said. “Most offensive lines, the better offensive lines don’t have time for that. They do (their) job between the whistles, and when it is over with they go back to the huddle. These guys on the other hand take it to a whole different level. They just want to get you fired up and get you to retaliate and draw a cheap penalty. But it’s tough to ignore it, but you have a chance to get them back and have to take advantage of it.”
This is going to be fun, so long as Raji doesn’t do something dumb and get kicked out of the game.
Love it.
Raji’s the fuckin’ man
Raji wan’t do anything dumb. Just hope no one takes a shot at his knees ala Erik fuckstick Williams.
hell yeah
Looks like he knew his stuff – aka – AJ Hawks penalty after the whistle…
