It looks like we won’t be labeling Green Bay Packers second-year defensive end [intlink id=”1033″ type=”category”]Mike Neal[/intlink] the new [intlink id=”100″ type=”category”]Justin Harrell[/intlink] just yet.
Neal, who sprained his knee in practice Tuesday, won’t miss an extended period of time.
He was listed as day-to-day by coach Mike McCarthy and still has a chance to play in Friday’s preseason game against Arizona. Neal tweeted that he was “A OK,” yesterday.
After spending most of last season on injured reserve, the Packers put a lot of faith in Neal by inserting him into the starting lineup without any competition.
From what I understand Packers are 10 million under the cap. I agree with TT on most things but not signing Jenkins is really going to come back to haunt the Pack. He was needed much more then James Jones is, TT will either have to make a trade giving up one of his many tightends or receivers.
