With the lack of a traditional NFL offseason and the constant talk of debt ceilings in Washington there was some question whether the Green Bay Packers would get to visit the White House.
The question has been answered. Somehow, the Packers schedule came together with Barack Obama’s.
The Super Bowl champs will visit the president on Aug. 12, which is the day before the team’s preseason contest with Cleveland.
“I’m really excited. I’m so glad we were able to work this out. With the labor situation in the offseason, we weren’t sure if we would find the time to get the team there. We were able to find a date and I’m excited for our players and we’re excited to meet president Obama,” Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy said.
The news should make [intlink id=”143″ type=”category”]Charles Woodson[/intlink] happy.
White House on three, bitches!
