Seriously, whoever came up with the idea to rank the 10 toughest venues in the NFL must be a brain surgeon.
When you consider the venue itself, the team playing it and the fans sitting in it, Lambeau Field is clearly the hands-down winner, which is exactly what the geniuses at ESPN found out this week.
In their latest installment of NFL power rankings, ESPN took on the toughest venues question. Lambeau Field finished first with 67 points, topping the [intlink id=”386″ type=”category”]Pittsburgh Steelers[/intlink]’ home, Heinz Field, by 12 points.
The [intlink id=”147″ type=”category”]Seattle Seahawks[/intlink]’ Qwest Field, widely considered the loudest outdoor venue in the NFL, came in third with 48 points. Opponents have committed a league-high 104 false start penalties at Qwest since 2005.
Lambeau got high marks for all the things I mentioned above, but several voters also factored in Green Bay’s mostly crappy weather. The venerable institution received four first-place votes and two seconds.
Two other idiots placed it somewhere further down their ballots.
Soldier Field and the Metrodome also made the top 10, coming in at fifth and eighth, respectively.
The Metrodome is only on there because opponents are affraid it may collapse on them at any given moment.
Hahahahaha Jeff that’s the funniest comment I’ve ever read on this site
Honestly, I love this site, but this is my first comment. I felt it was necessary.
