He clearly doesn’t understand how the NFL playoffs work. Otherwise, how could he say something this stupid?
“I think we’re the best team in our conference,” Urlacher said during an appearance at an Albuquerque elementary school. “I know we’re not the Super Bowl champs like the Green Bay Packers. . . . We want to be the best in our conference and to be there, we’ve got to go through Green Bay.”
So the Chicago Bears are the best team in the NFC, but you you still have to go through the Green Bay Packers?

Still, it would seem to me you’re completely contradicting yourself with that statement, Brian. If you were the best in the NFC, you wouldn’t have to go through anybody.

I live in Chicago and around here they are Super Bowl champs every year. I hear that type of talk all the time…..It puts a smile on my face because as long as there is a season I will go to training camp and see 4 trophy’s.
Yup I live in Chicago as well and I have this one friend who already said the Bears are the better team and that the Packers will be third behind the Lions. His justification is that the Packers were lucky and that he is right cause he correctly predicted the Bears to win the division.

The Bears’ only won 1 out of 3 against the Pack last year, and they needed James Jones’ help in the final minute to do it… with a field goal.
I think the Bears have a decent team. Were they better then the Packers last season? No. Are they going to be better then the Packers this season? No. Here are some other teams that are better then The Bears in they’re conference…The Packers, Eagles, Falcons, and Saints. The Bears and their annoying fans can talk there team up all they want. Get to the Superbowl and actually win and I will give the loud mouths in the flat lands some props.
