We figure most politicians are humorless pricks, but apparently even they get the [intlink id=”405″ type=”category”]Jay Cutler[/intlink] joke.
That is, that [intlink id=”13″ type=”category”]Chicago Bears[/intlink] quarterback Jay Cutler is a joke.
It started on Monday when Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, a Republican from Janesville, opened his speech at the Economic Forum in Chicago with these words.
“I want to thank you all for inviting me to speak. It was especially gracious of you to host me, even though I’m a Packers fan and I assume most of you are Bears fans,” Ryan began.
“But that doesn’t mean we can’t work together. As chairman of the House Budget Committee, I stand ready to do whatever it takes to help you re-sign Jay Cutler. I’m here to talk about the economy today — about the need to get four quarters of strong, consistent performance. That wasn’t another Jay Cutler joke, I swear. It could be, but it’s not,” he continued.
Honestly, that was a pretty nice effort — kind of funny.
Kudos to whoever wrote the speech for Ryan.
Of course, the Democrats would not be outdone! Or would they?
Former Gov. Tommy Thompson could opt for a return to public life, stepping in to run for Sen. Herb Kohl’s seat. Kohl announced he will retire at the end of the year and Thompson is expected to make a decision on whether to run when he returns from a trip overseas.
Well, the Democrats don’t think much of Tommy… or Jay Cutler.
“Republicans would be better off with Jay Cutler as their candidate in Wisconsin. Cutler has at least helped the Green Bay Packers win a Super Bowl, while Tommy G. Thompson has spent the last decade doing the bidding of the Bush administration and his special-interest clients at his lobbying firm,” Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesman Matt Canter said.
Ahhhh… sorry Matt.
Your joke is unoriginal and not very funny.
I think you probably would have done better with a George W. Bush joke.
This pleases me.
Nice work Ryan. Hilarious!
Now it all makes sense. The retarded “man” who runs this website is a Republican. Funny how things always seem to fall into place.
typical democrat – taking advantage of someone else’s hard work (this web site), not appreciating it, and insulting him in the process while copping a morally superior attitude.
There Monty, I did it for you.
I don’t see how Monty made this political any more then necessary. He didn’t take a right or left stance…. bb you must just be some boneheaded bears fan looking to blame his shitty team on someone else. So FUCK OFF!
Right on.
I’m gonna stay away from this one. lol
Monty is a republican? HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
And a homosexual too, obviously! Hahaha…. good stuff!!
Monty is as GOP as Nancy Pelosi. Idiot.
Monty,
you’re too much and not in a good way.
I’m a Packer fan but your hatred for everything non-Packer makes me blush at times.
And your intense stand against pro-lifers is disgusting.
I’m finding another Packer blog.
Apparently the proprietor of this website can’t write an unbiased article regarding a joke made on an opposing team without his liaisons being put into perspective, thank you idiots.
