No One Likes Ben Roethlisberger And Republicans Like The Packers

Ben Roethlisberger

Maybe it's just the general douchiness.

Maybe it’s his stupid, fat face. Maybe it’s his plodding style of play. Maybe it’s because he’s a rapist.

Whatever it is, no one like Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

That is, at least according to a poll set to be published in the Hollywood Reporter. The poll, conducted by Penn Schoen Berland, showed Roesthlisberger is the most disliked player in Sunday’s game and he’s the fourth most disliked player in the league behind Brett Favre (surprise!), Michael Vick and Tom Brady.

The poll also showed the majority of the nation is rooting for the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl XLV. The Packers are favored by 45 percent of the country, while 39 percent are behind the Steelers.

However, drilling down into the data reveals a couple interesting things — Democrats and non-whites are largely pulling for the Steelers and Republicans and whites are behind the Packers.

So, if you’re a minority or a Democrat and a Green Bay Packers fan, speak the fuck up and shatter the stereotype!

Monty McMahon

Monty McMahon is one of the founders of Total Packers. He is probably the most famous graduate of UW-Oshkosh next to Jim Gantner.

  4. Erik February 3, 2011

I’m a democrat (and know lots of other democrat packer fans) and I’m a huge packer fan! I think it is just a huge stereotype.

I’m a Democrat, and my friends are democrats, or at least liberals- all Packer fans, as well as my immediate Family mostly Democrat’s, and Packer fans. I thought Retardicans would hate and despise Football – label it “Un American” because it is the biggest form a socialism in the United States (i.e. revenue sharing)… Ahhh Republicans destroying American dreams, Civil Rights and liberties one minority at a time.

    1. DevilDon February 3, 2011

So let me go out on a limb here, you’re not so much about football, even though your great team is in the Super Bowl so much as fouling and trashing opposing thoughts?
How novel, let me know how many you convert.
And while we’re at it, does equality count among teams? Do you know which team has the African American coach? Well boofuckingya. You’re a Steelers fan because the white man has put the black man down all these years right?
You wear democrat like a purple heart and you have no clue, you’ve sacrificed your passion for an illusion. But you’re happy and that’s what counts right? lol

  9. Tyko Steamboat February 3, 2011

I’m a white, conservative, Colorado bi-partisan…whom was given the choice by my father to choose my own religion. I was unable to choose my own football team though. GO PACK GO!!!!
But i am currently having sex with a black woman from Allouez, and she freaken loves the PACK!!!

“Republicans destroying American dreams, Civil Rights and liberties one minority at a time.”….

    Sure doesn’t matter.
I’m pretty sure sporting events would be effectively dead in your socialist paradise.

It’s no shock to know that conservative support for something is longer lasting than the fickle liberal proclivities.

    1. jeremy February 3, 2011

      Yes we know.

It’s no shock to anyone that conservative support for outdated paradigms holds steadfast long after whatever information that spawned them has become sadly obsolete.

At least we all agree that the Packers are the Greatest football team ever!

      1. DevilDon February 3, 2011

Are these the same paradigms that hold true for Democratic policies? I mean, you’re right, nobody has a right to claim victory or defeat on a single policy, but can you really, deep dark in the dead of night believe the Democrats are the savior of this country?
You know you think differently, without the Republicans there wouldn’t be the idea of socialism, I’m not surprised you’re so short-term thinking.
You think new or original thinking is best, we all thought that when we were 17. The American experiment is best viewed at a distance and you’ll note if you care to look that we have always relied on our own ingenuity and resourcefulness to make it go. This country was founded on making it yourself dude.
Nobody was buying you a meal in 1775.
But yea, 225 years later you expect a free meal, that kind of mindset is built on the backs of the sweat of workers and veterans who’ve given you this opportunity.
Don’t comment on the military because I’ll kick your ass in an assessment you fucking goof.

  11. Bluop February 3, 2011

I’m an alien and i fucking love the packers!

  12. iltarion February 3, 2011

If democrats were in control of the NFL there would be no wins and no losses. Every team would just get a GE for Good Effort at the end. At the end of the season, everyone would get an equal trophy. If there wasn’t enough money for trophies for everyone, they would just borrow from another league.

  13. Laura February 3, 2011

Female Democrat Packers fan here. Represent!

  14. Yoop February 3, 2011

Funny how the great socialist leader OBOZO has said that ” at a certain point you have made enough money” So he continually has moved to taxed those that pay the most even more.
Taken away more freedom of choice then ANY president to this point in the history of the country.
Added more regulation on everyone, and every business in the country then EVERY president before him.
Has handed out favors and wavers to more companies and organizations then ANY president before him ALL on the backs of the American people by adding more debt then ANY president before him and the left wing NUTS still genuflect at his feet.

All that aside there is no political correlation to being a Packer fan, you are or you are not, What you are in every form, where you come from has nothing to do with it.

The Packers are the Greatest Sport Franchise in the world, with the greatest fans in the world.

    GO PACK!

  15. Garcia February 3, 2011

The Packers transcend stereotypes..they are everything that is good and right in the world.
