As far as I’m concerned, Al Harris will always be a member of the Green Bay Packers.
Although Harris no longer fit into the Packers’ plans, much like Aaron Kampman before him, Harris took the time to make one last gesture for the fans.
In Sunday’s Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Harris took out a full-page ad thanking Packer Nation for their support.
We’d like to return the sentiment.
Al Harris was always a class guy. Al Harris always played his heart out. Al Harris left us with some great memories.
Most importantly, Al Harris will always be a member of the Green Bay Packers family.

Matt: We want the ball and we’re gonna score. Not on Al Harris’ watch bitch!
Thanks for some of the best memories Al.

Best wishes Al. I’m sure you’ll be welcomed into the Packer Hall of Fame.
Man….
Talk about a classy guy.
I hope that when he retires we bring him back as a Packer so that he can retire here.
If I didn’t know better(guessing) I would take this as an advertisement to TT and MM saying I’ll play whatever you want me to play, just bring me home,PLEASE.
Its ironic you say that Taryn, because Wisconsin is a great state to live in but the only down side is TT and MM.
Please, if you are gonna make retarded comments, don’t share the same name as me.
Class act from the moment he arrived until the day he left. Packer Hall of Fame candidate in my opinion. Other than Butler and Woodson has Green Bay had such a consistently good DB in the last 25 years?
Packer Hall of Fame member, easily.
Anyone who says we don’t care if we have “Packer people” is full of shit. I would rather lose with Al Harris and Donald Driver than win with Pacman Jones and Randy Moss.
Here is a man who can separate the fans from the executives who cut him. Props to him.
Ive said it before and ill say it again.. Al was an awesome player and a very humble and genuine person. It was an honor having him be apart of the packer nation and I hope he will be enshrined as a member of the packers HOF.. love ya big al
First Kampman and now Al….Two guys hurt on the same day…that go out the same way.
Why couldn’t Favre do something like this? oh yeah…he’s a selfish Bitch!
I was recently on a flight with Al from Green Bay to Detroit, and passed him in the Detroit airport. It was the day after he’d been put on the PUP list, but he was still super friendly. Just an awesome dude. Thank you, Al!
Al is the man! Miami is a bunch of lucky bastards to have him.
It can only be put so many ways, but all the passion and support we all put to Green Bay makes it worthwhile when guys like Harris and Kampman take out full page ads to thank us.
Harris and Kampman were classic representatives of the hard work that embodies the people of Wisconsin. That is why we all identified with them and rooted so hard for them. Both are Packers for life, and the days they are inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame will be great ones indeed.
We <3 Al!
