Packers Keep Stockpiling Linebackers

After signing two linebackers yesterday, the Green Bay Packers signed a third, today.

Erik Walden, a 6-2, 250-pound outside linebacker from Middle Tennessee State, was added to the Packers roster this morning.

Walden is in his fourth year in the NFL. He spent his first season in Kansas City and the past three with Miami. He has 23 career tackles as a special teams player.

He was released by the Dolphins earlier this year after he missed an assignment on a punt that led to a block.

The Packers now have 11 linebackers on the roster, although the three they’ve signed this week will probably only see action on special teams.

The team will eventually have to account for the three players on the physically unable to perform list — Al Harris, Atari Bigby and James Starks — when they’re activated. It’s beginning to look like that won’t be this week, however.

Fat Defensive Linemen…the fattest ever would be nice to clog up those arteries, um I mean holes that will be blown open by that nice O-Line in NY. Go TJ Lang!!

The clogged arteries in that game will belong to Rex Ryan.

Zing! What’s the Over/Under on Rex Ryan’s blood pressure once Rodgers starts slinging TDs?

Shouldn’t the Packers be looking for D linemen?

Looks like Brad Jones is out for the season..this season just gets better and better! Jesus, I was wondering why they were bringing in this many LB’s…and if I don’t see Al or Bigby on the playing field this Sunday I’m not going to be a happy fan!

After these insane injuries started piling up, I realistically wanted two things out of this season: 1) Beat Favre at Lambeau…check and 2) Beat that fat fuck Rex Ryan and his team of silver-back buffoons, please pull this one out for me guys!

not yet. He will have to have surgery to alleviate the pain he’s in. The only question is can he delay the surgery until the off season.

Officially on IR. Replaced him with Jets nose tackle/fatty Howard Green. Now that was a smart pickup. Hopefully he brings a copy of his playbook!

    1. Jeremy October 27, 2010

Unlike Shawn Merriman, Adalius Thomas or any of the other washed up OLB’s you guys are longing for the guys TT picked up have actually played in the NFL recently. Shawn hasn’t been a beast since well before he got busted for choking Tia Tequila.
