Aug. 12-16 – Cleveland Browns
Midwest Shrine Game
TV: WFRV/state
Aug. 19-23 at Seattle Seahawks

Aug. 26 – 7 p.m. – Indianapolis Colts
Bishop’s Charities Game

Sept. 2-3 at Kansas City Chiefs

We don’t get too worked up about preseason games, but there are some interesting elements to this year’s Packers’ preseason schedule, the first of which is the Browns’ game will mark the return of Mike “The Walrus” Holmgren to Green Bay for the first time as a member of the Cleveland organization. Holmgren took over as Browns’ team president in December.
The Packers’ second preseason contest will provide a glimpse of how the Seahawks are going to look under new coach Pete Carroll, who was formerly the head coach at USC.
The Packers’ final preseason game versus the Chiefs marks a change of form for Kansas City. The Chiefs have historically closed the preseason with the St. Louis Rams in an interstate battle dubbed the Governor’s Cup. The Rams were replaced on the Chiefs schedule with the Packers this season because the Rams are atrocious.
Just kidding. The Chiefs will play the Rams in the 2010 regular season. 2010 will also mark the opening of the The New Arrowhead Stadium for the Chiefs.
Lastly, this preseason will finally mark the long-overdue moment when Jarrett Bush gets cut… or collared and shot by me. Your choice, Ted.
