Although reports on the terms of the contract aren’t available yet, Mark Tauscher is officially a member of the Green Bay Packers again.
Tauscher’s signing was announced this morning. Tauscher worked out with the team last Tuesday and we knew a deal was imminent since then.
Tauscher will have to work himself back into playing shape, so an immediate contribution isn’t expected. The right tackle hasn’t played a down of football since suffering a tear to his left ACL last October.
Coaches said Allen Barbre will remain the starter at right tackle for the time being, although Tauscher should push Barbre for the spot within the next couple of weeks.
The Packers returned to practice this morning after last week’s bye week. To make room on the roster, the Packers put Will Blackmon on injured reserve.
