Packers Bears Live Blog

Al Harris seals it.

Big time play by a big time player: Al Harris to close it out! Packers 21-15.

———-

My stupid friends who are Bears fans just texted me before that play to Jennings. Idiots! mwahahahahahaha!

———-

I apologize, that would be Aaron Rodger’s third fourth quarter comeback. The first two were against the Lions, which really don’t count. Greg Jennings with a huge TD reception. Rodgers with a great throw. Packers 21-15 with the two-point conversion.

———-

Aaron Rodgers first fourth quarter comeback or a repeat of last season. It comes down to this.

———-

Huge hold on third down for the Packers. Bears go up 15-13 on a Robbie Gould field goal.

———-

The Bears have no timeouts. That could be crucial coming down the stretch.

———-

It looks like Aaron Rodgers is going to have to earn his stripes in this game. Zero fourth quarter comebacks last year. He’s going to need one in this game.

———-

Atari Bigby is down on the last play, which made me think I’m glad we cut Anthony Smith, considering the fact that Bigby is almost always injured. Well done, Ted.

———-

Saw a promo for Dallas vs. the Giants next week. Why does NFC East football bore the shit out of me? Best division in football? Most boring division in football.

———-

Packers go up 13-10 on Mason Crosby’s field goal. Josh Sitton’s holding penalty was costly on that drive, or lack there of.

———-

That fake punt could be the definitive play of the game if the Packers can do anything with it.

———-

Nice call on that fake punt, Lovie! You stupid douchebag. Nice tackle by Brett Swain. Way to waste a challenge on that too, Lovie. Nice work!

———-

Clay Matthews has seen a lot of action tonight, despite not being a starter. I bet he takes the place of Brady Poppinga in the starting lineup before long.

———-

Bears up 12-10 on a field goal. Two of Chicago’s starting linebackers are out. The Packers need to take advantage, but can’t seem to get the offense going. I guess the preseason is over.

———-

Nick Collins is out of the game and Aaron Rouse is in. You can tell. Rouse was way out of position on Cutler’s completion to Desmond Clark.

———-

Too many mistakes. That last ball hit Jordy Nelson in the hands.

———-

Devin Hester catches a touchdown from Jay Cutler. Surprised Hester made that catch – because Hester sucks. More surprised that Nick Collins didn’t get to that ball.

———-

Not a lot of Matt Forte in the first half. I expect that to change in the second half.

———-

The Bears are still within striking distance, but more importantly, like Max McGee before me, I will be drunk during the second half of the game.

———-

Brandon Chillar showed the athleticism that A.J. Hawk wishes he had by hurdling a blocker and sacking Jay Cutler on this series. The Packers defense is exciting.

———-

Packers up 10-2 on Ryan Grant’s one-yard run. Alex Brown is a cheap-ass scumbag. Brown got whistled for a personal foul on John Kuhn after the play.

———-

Tramon Williams’ second pick of the game. Big return. Packers ball inside the Bears five yard line. Cutler was pressured and threw to the no one.

———-

Aaron Rodgers gets sacked by Danieal Manning for a safety. Manning made a great play by grabbing Rodger’s throwing arm. Manning is a shitbag.

———-

I’m glad Aaron Rodgers shaved off his porno-mustache. I was starting to get him confused with John Holmes.

———-

Johnny Jolly with a pick! You won’t ever see that again!

———-

Charles Woodson gets burned. You don’t see that often.

———-

Mason Crosby redeems himself and gives the Packers a 3-0 lead.

———-

Obviously Mike “The Walrus” Holmgren is back on the sidelines and we didn’t get the memo. The Packers have thrown two short give-up passes on third and long.

———-

Recent comments about Jay Cutler’s photo: “This guy looks like a drunk bum.” “You would never think he was an NFL quarterback by looking at that picture.” “That looks like someone’s DUI photo.”

———-

You can tell Jordy Nelson hasn’t had a lot of practice on punt returns. He failed to make a fair catch earlier and got smoked and he almost dropped the punt he just fielded.

———-

Who is that stupid broad they just showed with the Favre Vikings’ jersey on? Best comment about that: “Why would someone even waste a ticket on her?”

———-

All the analysts talked about all week was offense, offense, offense, but I’ll we’ve seen so far is defense and missed opportunities by the offense.

———-

Allen Barbre is getting abused by Ogunleye. Second sack given up tonight.

———-

Aaron Rodgers doesn’t miss that deep ball often, but it looked like Driver slowed up.

———-

And just when I say that, Tramon comes up with the interception he dropped on the last two plays.

———-

Now you see why Tramon Williams is a cornerback and not a receiver. He can’t catch the ball.

———-

The Packers are playing a lot of nickel, meaning you won’t be seeing a lot of A.J. Hawk.

———-

It’s sad that the Devin Hester is the Bears No. 1 receiver. Sad for the Bears.

———-

Allen Barbre just got smoked by Adewale Ogunleye. Welcome to the NFL, Allen Barbre.

———-

Bears go three and out on their first series. The Bears suck.

———-

Mason Crosby continues to look terrible, missing a 49-yard field goal.

———-

The Bears are going to have a hard time getting to Aaron Rodgers if they don’t bring more than four rushers. Rodgers will dissect the defense if he isn’t feeling pressure.

———-

Jordy Nelson returning kicks. 46-yarder to start the game.

———-

79 degrees in Green Bay and Al Michaels hair is an entity of it’s own.

———-

Most accurate comment made thus far – it’s the forces of good vs. the forces of evil.

———-

B.J. Raji and Will Blackmon are being held out of tonight’s game because of injuries. Tramon Williams, Jordy Nelson, DeShawn Wynn and Brett Swain could all factor into the return game. Jarrett Bush will be the fourth cornerback.

———-

Getting warmed up for the game with fried chicken and Miller Lite.
