Yahoo! Sports is reporting that Brett Favre will stay retired and not sign with the Minnesota Vikings.
The report, by Rick Schwartz, states:
The source said Favre told Vikings coach Brad Childress that he wanted to remain retired in a phone call that took place sometime in the last day. Favre is expected to publicly explain his decision soon.
When Favre explains himself, we expect him to cite Steffen’s letter as his reason for staying retired (or at least the sentiment behind it).
This would explain why Brad Childress was at Vikings headquarters this morning, instead of in Mississippi, as it was reported he would be, yesterday.
Thank you, Brett.
As for all you classless, know-nothing Vikings fans? Well, you can go crawl back under whatever rock you came from. Remember not to procreate. I’m going to go polish my Super Bowl trophies.
