Reports are leaking out of Green Bay declaring Al Harris’ season officially over.
The Packers’ cornerback left last night’s loss to Dallas due, reportedly, to cramps. After all, as sideline reporter Andrea Kremer kept informing us, it was extremely humid in Green Bay last night.
After the game it was reported that Harris was pissing blood in the locker room and the decision was made to keep him out.
Harris was tested today to determine if he had actually ruptured his spleen. If that turns out to be the case, his season is most certainly over. Considering Al’s age, it could also mean the end of his career.
Tramon Williams would instantly become the starter. I’ve predicted in the past that Tramon would one day become a top-flight starter in this league, but another year to develop and especially get stronger would do him wonders. Will Blackmon is next in line followed by rookie Pat Lee and the logic defying Jarret Bush. One of them has to step up.
We wish Al a speedy recovery.
