It’s a good thing the Green Bay Packers squared off against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV. Had they faced two-time AFC Championship game losers, the New York Jets, the Lombardi trophy would currently reside in New Jersey. No, I’m serious. Jets coach Rex Ryan said so. And you know he’s not a fat, blathering, idiot who just loves to hear himself talk.
You’ve probably heard the name of UCLA linebacker Akeem Ayers by now. We’ve talked about him as a possibility for the Green Bay Packers at No. 32. Well, Ayers would probably be gone well before the Packers choose in the first round of the NFL Draft if his 40 times were a little better. Ayers […]
Both of the Green Bay Packers starting cornerbacks, Charles Woodson and Tramon Williams, made ESPN’s cornerback power rankings list. Woodson finished third and Williams finished seventh. Not surprisingly, the top two in the rankings were the New York Jets’ Darrelle Revis and the Oakland Raiders’ Nnamdi Asomugha, who received all the first and second place votes.
You knew this day would come and I’m sure you were waiting with bated breath. Jenn Sterger will appear on Good Morning America this week to discuss Brett Favre’s pursuit of her when both were with the New York Jets. Said pursuit ultimately led to all of us getting to see Favre’s tiny penis, something […]
The Green Bay Packers have had their share of draft busts over the years. Some have been epic (Tony Mandarich), while others have snuck out of town almost unnoticed (Terrence Murphy). Well, thankfully we’re here to dredge up your past failures, point our gnarled, crooked, judgmental fingers at you and cackle. For you’ve shamed the […]
Horseshit! That’s the first thing that came to mind when I heard this. Green Bay Packers fans are ranked as the fourth-most loyal fans in the NFL in the latest Brand Keys Sports Loyalty Index. In order, New England Patriots fans, Pittsburgh Steelers fans and Indianapolis Colts fans are considered more loyal than Packers fans. New York Jets fans came in fifth.
We talked about it for much of the season — Green Bay Packers cornerback Tramon Williams has developed into one of the league’s best cover corners. Now, the hardcore football geek statistics have validated the statement. Williams appears near the top of Football Outsiders cornerback charting stats for 2010.
That’s right, Rex Ryan, coach of the New York Jets, former Total Packers Cunt of the Week, foot aficionado and generally the smartest guys in the room (just ask him!) is saying the Green Bay Packers will not repeat as Super Bowl champions.
Well, he didn’t exactly say that, but he said it by default when he guaranteed a Jets win in Super Bowl XLVI while sitting courtside at a Knicks game over the weekend.
Jeremy Piven, of Entourage fame, doesn’t like anything about this year’s Super Bowl matchup. Piven was looking for a New York Jets-Chicago Bears game for, who knows why. Probably because he sucks. There honestly couldn’t have been a shittier Super Bowl matchup than that. Anyway, Piven voiced his displeasure over the Green Bay Packers-Pittsburgh Steelers […]
Brett Favre likes to bang just about anything that isn’t his wife. Or maybe his wife just doesn’t like to bang him. Whatever the case, there’s another masseuse claiming Favre tried to get with her. Stephanie Dusenberry, who formerly worked for the Minnesota Vikings and now works independently with several Vikings’ players, claims Favre texted […]
The Green Bay Packers had a pretty good weekend. After throttling the NFC’s No. 1 seed, the Atlanta Falcons, 48-21 with a nearly flawless effort and watching the rest of the playoff field have to work for their victories, the Packers were installed as the favorite to win the Super Bowl. What does that mean? […]
We didn’t pay much attention when former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre filed his retirement papers, this morning. So what? We thought. It’s not that we think Favre will change his mind and come back sometime next August. It’s just that after getting beat around, both on the field and in his private life, while […]
I’ve never had an issue with ESPN Radio and television personality Colin Cowherd until recently, but that’s mostly because I stopped listening to anything he had to say several years ago. Back then, I often listened to his morning radio show and I sometimes found him insightful and always felt he called it as he […]
We didn’t pay much attention to the fact Oakland Raiders cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha became a free agent after his contract voided, earlier this week. The Green Bay Packers already have two Pro Bowl-caliber cornerbacks in Charles Woodson and Tramon Williams. They don’t really need another. However, there are reports Asomugha is interested in playing for […]
This one came out of left field. Now-presumably-retired Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre is being sued for sexual harassment, but not by Jenn Sterger. Favre was hit with the lawsuit by Christina Scavo and Shannon O’Toole, who massage therapists who formerly worked for the New York Jets. The suit, which was filed in the New […]
We’ve been surmising the NFL wouldn’t do anything to Brett Favre in relation to his behavior towards Jenn Sterger. Today, they more or less did just that, deciding to only fine Favre for not being cooperative during the league’s investigation into his conduct. Not surprisingly, Sterger isn’t too happy. Her lawyer, Joseph Conway, released the […]
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre was fined, but not suspended for his role in the Jenn Sterger incident, a story first reported by Jay Glazer. Surprisingly, the fine isn’t for violating any NFL policies. Michael David Smith has confirmed Favre has been fined $50,000 for not cooperating with the investigation, which took nearly three months. […]
Another week, another scandal involving Rex Ryan and the New York Jets. In what is becoming routine, the team went into damage control mode again after several foot-fetish videos surfaced online last week allegedly showing Ryan’s wife, Michelle, seductively modeling her feet in a variety of locations. According to ESPN, Ryan said the matter was […]
In response to the latest from Jenn Sterger’s camp — that they’ll file a lawsuit if the NFL doesn’t suspend Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre for violating the league’s personal conduct policy — the Favre camp has fired back, saying they’d welcome a lawsuit. The strategy makes some sense. No one really knows what Sterger’s […]
Jenn Sterger won’t pursue legal action against Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre over the alleged dong texts/sexual harassment if the NFL suspends the quarterback, according to her manager. “If the [NFL] commissioner suspends Favre and puts him in a program to make sure this doesn’t happen again … 100 percent … Jenn would not pursue […]
