This is turning into a shit show quickly. The Green Bay Packers preseason game with the Indianapolis Colts has been cancelled.
Players felt the field was unsafe.
Both organizations very concerned about playing surface and there are real questions about whether tonight's game will be played.

Parts of Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio are as hard as concrete in opinion of multiple players. Unsafe, they say.

The paint that was applied today on middle of field, and in endzones, has congealed; would be like playing on tar.
Game now doubtful.

Crews were hurriedly trying to fix the field, but it doesn’t appear that did any good. That sucks for fans more than anything.
Players were told about an hour before kickoff the game was off.
Game canceled but will go out and talk to fans and sign things. Was juiced but safety is number 1.

The players never wanted this fifth preseason game and it probably wasn’t going to be terribly entertaining anyway. Joe Callahan was slated to start at QB for the Packers, with Aaron Rodgers being held out and Brett Hundley injured.
Still, what a joke. Great job, NFL!
Man what an embarrassing day for the NFL.
