Sorry if you’ve had your Brett Favre fill already today, but we just caught his appearance on Mike and Mike, which happened Thursday morning. Specifically, the segment where Favre talks about his return to Green Bay.
In it, Favre talks about how Green Bay Packers fans are everywhere and how he’s met so many. Then he describes his Packers Hall of Fame induction, when he walked out onto a packed Lambeau Field.
The reaction was nothing short of hero worship, which Favre says he needed.
“Walking out on that field was as close to a game without suiting it up as you could possibly get,” Favre said. “Taking into account what had happened — the last time I was there, I got booed like crazy. I didn’t think that would ever happen again, but I was received way better than I could have ever imagined and I needed that. I don’t want to say it’s over, but it’s behind us and now we can move on, which is what we’ve done. It’s back the way it should be.”
It seems Favre’s two appearances in Green Bay in the past year — in July for his Packers Hall of Fame induction and November at the Bears game — have humbled the old gunslinger a bit.
It could be an act, but we don’t think Brett is much of an actor.

Anyway, if Brett keeps this up, he just might soften us up yet. After all, a lack of humility and self awareness was the source of the problem all along.
