We know what you were thinking. Aaron Rodgers popped up on the injury report earlier this week and you wanted to blame that for his recent struggles.
Well, old AR wants none of your pity or excuse-making.
“It’s not an excuse. It’s a source of pride. I think that’s the difference,” Rodgers said. “Some people use the injuries as an excuse. But I think for the guys in this locker room who are out there battling, it’s a source of pride.”
We all know Rodgers is going to play this Sunday and we imagine he’ll continue playing unless the injury is severe, such as the broken collarbone he suffered in 2013.
“My thing is no more important than anybody else’s injury. If I feel like I give us the best chance to win by being out there and dealing with whatever I’m dealing with throughout my career, I’m going to be out there.”
As much as we joke about putting Scooter Tolzien in, Aaron Rodgers at 75 percent is still better than probably 90 percent of the quarterbacks in this league.
