Because having your greatest player sign something he used to piss in is just SO Detroit Lions.
And that’s what we’ve got going on here.
The dude standing next to Barry Sanders in the photo bought a urinal from the old Pontiac Silverdome (along with some other bathroom fixtures) for $23. He then took it to an autograph signing and had Barry scribble his signature on it. Now, he’s selling it on eBay for a starting bid of $500.
What Lions fan wouldn’t want to buy a piss receptacle signed by Barry Sanders?!
It’s a metaphor for your Lions fandom and, probably, your life!
This is from the seller’s description.
I’m auctioning off a truly one of a kind piece of Detroit sports history.
This is a urinal from the home team locker room of the Pontiac Silverdome where the Detroit Lions played from 1975 to 2001. The Silverdome was home to Barry Sanders who is arguably the greatest NFL football player of all time. What makes this urinal unique is that it has been signed by Barry Sanders himself with a certificate of authenticity
Detroit sports history, ladies and gentlemen!
