It’s a frightening place called Michael Wilbon’s mind, which isn’t quite as scary as, say, Jason Whitlock’s refrigerator, but it’s still a wild and woolly place. It’s a place where Tony Kornheiser is tolerable and Aaron Rodgers is black.
Say whaaaaaaaaat?!
Yeah, I’m not shitting you.
On Thursday’s edition of PTI, Wilbon was going on about Rodgers and how he’s an honorary brother because he can move his feet.
Here’s his rambling explanation, courtesy of Sportsgrid.
Wilbon: Aaron Rodgers makes plays with his legs. I’m gonna go some place here. We’ve gotten to the point where we look at athletes and we ascribe athletic attributes to black people and we talk about somebody being a black quarterback, and he’s athletic! Aaron Rodgers –
Kornheiser: You saying Aaron Rodgers is black?
Wilbon: He could be. He’s honorary, a brother. You know why? Because he moves his feet.
Kornheiser: You should have led the entire show with that.
Wilbon: That revelation. Aaron didn’t even know that. Aaron Rodgers can move as well as any quarterback black or white has ever moved. If Aaron Rodgers can’t move the way he does, which is almost like ballet when he’s out there, Tony… Let me add this, the weather doesn’t help the Packers but helps the Cowboys, because they run the football. And when you can run it, you can do that in any weather.
Go ahead and watch for yourself.
