The health of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will likely remain the biggest story leading up to the team’s contest with the Detroit Lions to decide the NFC North.
While everyone expects Rodgers to play, it seems possible he won’t be completely healthy. On Wednesday, Rodgers and his injured calf were limited in practice. He did work with the team, but also spent part of the session getting treatment.
No worries, says coach Mike McCarthy.
“Aaron’s plan today, he did all the pre-practice work and no-huddle, and then we had a segment he was able to get some rehab done,” McCarthy said. “Then he went back outside for the team (11-on-11) stuff. He got done what he needed to get done today. He’s getting better. He threw the ball around.”
That’s good enough for us.
The Packers are off on Thursday, so Rodgers will get a day to rest.
