Davante Adams and Richard Rodgers Have Signed
The Green Bay Packers finished signing their rookie class on Thursday. They reached deals with second-round pick, receiver Davante Adams, and third-round pick, tight end Richard Rodgers.
And the numbers are: four years, $3.933 million for Adams and four years, $2.761 million for Rodgers.
Adams is part of the logjam the Packers suddenly have at receiver after drafting three guys to go with the six guys they already had on the roster from last season. Of course, being a second-round pick, he’s more or less guaranteed a roster spot.
We haven’t heard much about Adams through OTAs, but when he gets around to contributing he’s expected to be the big, strong possession-type receiver.
Rodgers, on the other hand, we’ve been hearing about pretty much non-stop. He’s made a number of big plays during OTAs.
Of the two, Adams probably has a better chance of contributing as a rookie. Rodgers will be expected to block, which is something he doesn’t have a lot of experience doing. That could keep him off the field.

Monty McMahon is one of the founders of Total Packers. He is probably the most famous graduate of UW-Oshkosh next to Jim Gantner.
