Aaron Rodgers was a Presenter at the Country Music Awards
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was a presenter at the Academy of Country Music Awards last night. Why? No idea, although he was already in Vegas, having played in Michael Jordan’s golf tournament last week. So why the hell not?
Rodgers presented the award for song of the year with actress Olivia Munn in what the Washington Post called one of the most awkward moments of the evening. They weren’t sure why these two were there or why they were paired together either.
The award went to Lee Brice for a song called “I Drive Your Truck.”
We won’t even get into that. Never heard it. Probably never will. However, we did note that Lee Brice was wearing his hat backwards. So shouldn’t Tony Romo have presented that award then?
We presume Rodgers is at least somewhat of a country music fan. He dated that chick from Lady Antebellum for a while and he was spotted at a gig for Florida Georgia Line not too long ago. Oh, and he’s also hung out with Taylor Swift.
So he’s got some country cred, we suppose.
By the way, Olivia Munn — lookin’ niiiiiiiiiiiice!
Monty McMahon is one of the founders of Total Packers. He is probably the most famous graduate of UW-Oshkosh next to Jim Gantner.
