Jermichael Finley is Being Recruited

Jermichael Finley

We’re a little over a month before the start of free agency. Teams can’t talk to other teams’ players yet, but players can do whatever the hell they want. And New York Giants safety Antrel Rolle is trying to get Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley to join his crappy club.

That would be a great fit for Finley. Playing with Manning Face, Eli Manning Face, the guy who led the league in picks last season.

Also, the New York media microscope. Great place for a guy who hasn’t exactly been known for keeping his mouth shut during his career.

Money will ultimately talk, though.

That, and whether doctors clear Finley to return from spinal fusion surgery. Last week, Finley said he expects to be cleared for contact in about three weeks.

He also said he wants to remain a Packer for life. He also said he wouldn’t mind playing for Seattle.

Like we said, money is obviously going to be the deciding factor for Finley. In all likelihood, that means he won’t be back in Green Bay.

Despite his BS, he was extremely valuable to the offense. Hate to see him go but someone is going to break the bank for him.

When will the Human Migraine just go away?

His career numbers say decidedly average NFL TE. His overblown ego says something entirely different. The Packers pissed away $16MM on him over the last 2 seasons for about $6MM worth of production. During his tenure in Green Bay, the only year they won the Super Bowl was when he was on IR, but even then he still managed to stir the shit-pot from the sidelines.

The Pats, Jets, Bucs, Falcons, Chiefs and Seahags all need TE’s. Let them waste $40-50MM.

Personally, I’m hoping it’s Schneider and the Hags that come calling so they tie up a big chunk of cap money on him.

With apologies to Peter King, my own Adieu Haiku.

Someone’s speaking my language! I can’t stand how some people have ridiculed me for saying Finley lacks humility! Yeah, he’s not a cancer, but he sure as hell causes some bad headaches.

I think Savage’s post is well thought out, and not much B.S. at all. John, did you actually read the post? No need to be a negative Nelly, we all have our opinions, but we are all Packers fans. If you like Finley and want him to re-sign, tell us why dude!

Correct me, then, if I’m ‘spouting my bullshit’. I’m all eyes. Show me proof other than empty hype, vapid opinion, or hollow claims that he’s worth anywhere near the money he’s gotten and expects.

YOGTFOOT. Year of get the fuck out of town.

I could’ve sworn that Coughlin even admitted his big plan for that 2011 travesty at Lambeau was to “hit 88” on every snap and the rest of the offense would fall apart, and he was right. Get rid of him already, he’s certainly not worth the money he believes he is.

Injury prone and still dumber than a box of rocks. Just go already Finley. Actually, with that injury Finley will likely go the way of Nick Collins only with a lot less class, dignity and career success.

He’s got a future in public relations, though. Finley has always been one helluva self-promoter.

    Finley is a joke.

Look at him catch a football, he’s afraid to hit a defensive safety head on. At 6’4″ and 240 what’s happening here. Get rid of him. Free up the money and get someone who can play the game of football.
