Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy was named the NFC offensive player of the week for his effort against the Dallas Cowboys, last Sunday.
And why the hell not?
Lacy pounded the Cowboys for 141 yards and scored the game-winning touchdown in the Packers’ improbable comeback victory.
We’re guessing quarterback Matt Flynn and his 299 yards and four touchdowns were also in the conversation, but Lacy is a solid choice.
Lacy now has 1,028 yards rushing on the season and is making a strong bid for offensive rookie of the year honors.
