Randall Cobb continues the long road back from a broken leg and it looks like that road may end this week.
Coach Mike McCarthy said the Packers will evaluate Cobb, who’s dealing with some soreness, on Saturday. A decision on whether he’ll play this week should come soon after.
“We gave Randall a bunch of work today, wanted to push him as much as we could. We’ll have him evaluated tomorrow,” McCarthy said on Friday.
McCarthy went on to say that the decision could come tomorrow or be a game-time decision at the latest. In order to activate Cobb, who suffered the injury on October 13, the Packers will have to take him off injured reserve.
They have the roster spot to do it, since they didn’t add anyone when they put Johnny Jolly and Brandon Bostick on injured reserve last week.
In other injury news, running back Eddie Lacy, linebackers Mike Neal and Brad Jones and defensive lineman Ryan Pickett are all listed as probable
