Some Packers Were Expecting a Second Overtime
Some people still don’t know the NFL overtime rules, apparently. Some of those guys play for the Green Bay Packers.
Robert Klemko reported that tight end Andrew Quarless was among the guys who thought there would be a second overtime after the Packers ended the first overtime tied with the Minnesota Vikings yesterday.
One of the Packers who didn't know OT rules was starting TE Andrew Quarless: "I thought we was gonna go to another overtime. I never knew."

It seems pretty amazing that guys who play football professionally don’t know how overtime works in the NFL. Then again, this seems to happen every time a game ends in a tie.
It happened last year when the Rams and 49ers played to a tie. It happened in 2008, when then Philadelphia quarterback Donovan McNabb admitted he didn’t know a game could end in a tie.
So let’s get this straight everyone. There’s only one overtime in the NFL. If you’re tied at the end of it, that’s it.
Monty McMahon is one of the founders of Total Packers. He is probably the most famous graduate of UW-Oshkosh next to Jim Gantner.
