You knew this was going to come up since the Green Bay Packers play the Minnesota Vikings this week and former teammate Greg Jennings for the first time. Aaron Rodgers was going to get asked about Jennings’ offseason comments again.
Jennings had a lot of idiotic things to say, highlighted by the time he criticized Rodgers as a leader.
Rodgers refused to get into it with Jennings then and that hasn’t changed.
“Well, I’m not going to approach it with any bitterness or any malice towards him,” Rodgers said. “I choose to remember the great times that we had together, the great wins, the incredible moments. That’s what I like to focus on. Regardless of what he wants to remember, that’s the things, the positive things that I focus on. But I think we’re definitely past all that stuff, and he’s with them, and I’m focused on the guys we got and getting those guys ready to play.”
Jennings did go on to offer a half-hearted apology through the media, but you have to wonder if there’s going to be some sort of awkward meeting on the field between the two guys.
Like when Rodgers and Brett Favre met for the first time after Favre went to the Vikings.
Jennings speaks to the Wisconsin media today, so we’ll let you know what sort of wonderful things he has to say this time around.
