Clay Matthew for Chunky Soup

Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews is featured in Chunky Soup’s new Mama’s Boy commercial. Also, he joined by fullback John Kuhn.

Clay’s mother apparently lives right behind his locker.

To hell with all of the commercials.

    I want a team that endorses strip-clubs, bail bondsmen & tattoo parlors…

Please dear God, not another season of Packers players on commercials.

How about some more attitude on the field & less commercials.

Well at least this one did not make me cringe, which is more than I can say for the Pizza hut spots, or the ones of that guy pushing Old Spice. … What was his name again? I forgot.

Not sure what you have against these commercials. I like them. They garner some attention for the Packers, whom everybody seems to have forgotten about since they won the super bowl.

Why do the Packers need attention? It’s like saying “Hey America, we won the Super Bowl two years ago. Please don’t forget about us!” As far as I’m concerned the only time the Packers need attention is when they’re playing well or in the playoffs. Silly tv commercials aren’t the kind of attention you need. This one wasn’t bad though.

Couldn’t the same be said about a guy who spends his free time pretending to be an NFL GM to a group of strangers on a fan run blog’s message board?

      • I was just thinking the exact same thing. Word to the wise Vijay, guys that star for the Packers and make 10 million dollars per year probably don’t have much difficulty finding attractive women to date.

To whatever extent this is true, it is counteracted exponentially by fame and being on a nationally televised commerical AS A PREMIERE NFL PLAYER.

  2. Could have been worse. At least he is a very positive role model for kids, which is something that seems to be in very short supply in a league that is overpopulated with athletically talented morons and moral losers. At least CM3 and Kuhn seem wholesome by comparison.

mom cave, huh? that’s humorous. too bad Chunky doesn’t run the football contest anymore. Packers fans won like 8 or 9 years in a row, and then they quit doing it. We dominated everyone in that thing! lots of soup for WI food pantries!
