Aaron Rodgers and Ryan Braun

We knew this was coming. After Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ staunch defense of Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun and Braun’s subsequent acceptance of a 65-game suspension from MLB for taking performance-enhancing drugs, people were going to ask.

“Whaddya think now, Aaron?”

“I was shocked, I really was, just like many of you were,” Rodgers said in a jam-packed press gathering in front of his locker after the Packers’ first training camp practice. “I was backing up a friend. He looked me in the eye on multiple occasions and repeatedly denied these allegations and said they were not true.

“So, it is disappointing, not only for myself as a friend, but for obviously Wisconsin sports fans, Brewer fans, really baseball fans. It doesn’t feel great being lied to like that and I’m disappointed in the way it all went down.”

Rodgers went on to say he’s talked to Braun since that fucking liar and cheater got suspended and it doesn’t sound like their relationship is too rosy at the moment. Rodgers was asked if he still considered Braun a friend and fired off another line about how he was disappointed and hurt.

Further complicating matters here is Rodgers and Braun own two restaurants together in Milwaukee. Rodgers didn’t give any indication that relationship will continue.

“That’s yet to be determined,” Rodgers said. “I don’t regret backing a friend up. Obviously in hindsight a more measured approach would obviously be a better course of action. I definitely believe in forgiveness and moving forward. He has a tough task in front of him moving forward with his career, on and off the field.

“As far as the business goes, right now I’m focused on football and I have people who can help me with those issues.”

Interestingly, one of the Packers PR flacks cut the line of questioning about Braun off five questions into Rodgers’ media session because, you know, reporters shouldn’t be able to ask the questions they want. At least in Green Bay.

So this is probably the last you’ll hear about it.

Every time this man opens his mouth, intelligence and class come pouring out. Ryan Braun is fortunate to be able to call AR friend and one of the first bridges he needs to try and rebuild is the one between him and the guy who went to wall for him.

He is going to go down with Bart in Packers history as two of the classiest guys to ever grace this organization.

You are fucking hilarious! Calling people idiots and betting a whole year’s salary defending some weird looking pile of shit everyone already knew was guilty. “Classy”, definitely. Maybe it was just the man-love and intense passion he had for Braun that made him say all those “classy” things.

Your perverted thoughts of Aaron Rodgers are becoming more graphic and obtuse. Seek professional help or you’re going to be the one getting “pounded in the ass” as you so eloquently say, in prison due yo your perverted nature.

I am just joking around. This website seems to live in the gutter, so I’m just joining in. But Rodgers IS odd.

          • That Viking’s horn the guy in the purple dress blows into is made from a member of the sheep family ! Taken during a “Loveboat” cruise Half the queeens team and sheep dude!!! Rodgers is odd??Follow the gutter back to the low spot where the shit pools and the sky drops purple rain

Glad to see Rodgers actually spoke a little about it and gave some honest answers. You know he’s gotta be fuming about it, rightfully so.

Braun is a piece of shit. Hopefully the Brewers can find an out of that contract. That a-hole will probably still have a decent career even without PEDs, but he’s now unmarketable, which is a pretty huge part of the deal from the Brewers perspective.

He handled that well. I’m so damned tired of hearing about Braun. The guy cheated, most of the big names do, let’s move the fuck on to football.

it really sucks when one of your best friends hoses you. I’m sure it sucks even more to have to talk about it to every swinging dick you see. Rodgers was/is a better friend to Braun than the other way around. Sticking up for your buddies isn’t the worst thing to be accused of. I’m thinking Aaron will distance himself from Braun for some time, if not for ever.
