The Detroit Lions were 4-12 last season. Most people would agree that they’re going to be the worst team in the NFC North this year. At least, next to the Minnesota Vikings. Not Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley, though.
He tells us the Leos are going to the Super Bowl.
“I expect big things,” the Lions defensive tackle said. “I am going to say we are going to the Super Bowl because I am competitive and that is what I want for the team and it is one of the goals. I am sure we are going to take it game by game and day by day.”
The Lions have never been to a Super Bowl, mind you. And forget that 4-12 record.
This is their year!
Some other turd on the Lions made a similar proclamation a few years back. Although at least they stopped short of a Super Bowl proclamation. That didn’t play out too well, but apparently everyone has filed that memory away.
And Fairley is probably oblivious to it. This is, after all, the same guy who got arrested twice during the 2012 offseason. Obviously, not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
But you go with your lofty goals, son!
