Randall Cobb is Questionable
There seems to be a reasonable chance the Green Bay Packers will have receiver and return man Randall Cobb on Sunday, when they face the Minnesota Vikings.
Cobb practiced on Friday and is listed as questionable, meaning there’s a 50 percent chance he’ll play. Cobb reportedly looked like he was cutting fine on his injured ankle during practice.
That’s potentially good news for the Packers.
If Sunday’s game were meaningless, the Packers would almost surely hold Cobb out to guarantee his health for the playoffs. It’s not.
With a win, the Packers will clinch the No. 2 seed in the NFC and a first-round bye. They also get the added bonus of knocking the Vikings out of the playoffs. Although the Queens could still make it with a loss if Chicago, Dallas and the Giants all lose, but that’s pretty unlikely.
The Packers could secure the No. 2 seed with a loss if San Francisco loses to Arizona. Fat chance of that happening.
If Cobb plays and tallies 46 receiving yards on Sunday, he’ll pass 1,000 for the season.
