Packers Dedicate Sunday’s Game To Philbins
There hasn’t been much talk from the Green Bay Packers this week, which is understandable after offensive coordinator Joe Philbin‘s son Michael was found dead on Monday.
The team and organization are obviously rallying around Philbin and linebacker Clay Matthews told Colin Cowherd they’ll dedicate Sunday’s game against the New York Giants to the Philbins.
“It’s a terrible tragedy,” Matthews said. “Being that the Packers organization is truly a family-first environment, we feel for the Philbin family. It goes without saying this game and how we approach it and how we play it will be dedicated to him. Hopefully we do it the right way.”
There’s a possibility Philbin won’t be with the team on Sunday, but coach Mike McCarthy said the team has a contingency plan in place should Philbin not be available.
We always hope the Packers win on Sunday, but let’s hope they can get one for their offensive coordinator this weekend.
Monty McMahon is one of the founders of Total Packers. He is probably the most famous graduate of UW-Oshkosh next to Jim Gantner.
