Packers Will Have Ring Ceremony Despite Lockout
We already know rules don’t apply to the NFL, especially their own.
The league has reportedly granted the team an exemption — their second one this offseason — from the no-contact policy governing coach-player interaction during the lockout.
“We’re looking forward to having an evening for the players, coaches and organization to recognize the victory in Super Bowl XLV,” said Packers president Mark Murphy in an article appearing at the Packers official website.
The Packers also received an exemption for their Tailgate Tour, where three current players joined team president Mark Murphy and several former Packers on a tour of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan that raised money for charity.
The ceremony will be the first time the team has assembled since the Return to Titletown celebration following the Super Bowl.
I wonder if coaches will be allowed to hand out playbooks.
Monty McMahon is one of the founders of Total Packers. He is probably the most famous graduate of UW-Oshkosh next to Jim Gantner.
