Incredulous.
That’s the only way I can describe the way I feel about the Green Bay Packers’ decision to match the Tennessee Titans’ offer to cornerback Jarrett Bush.
No, wait. Here’s another way: Blinded with rage.
As I have detailed on more than one occasion, Jarrett Bush is terrible. He’s an idiot. He’s a moron. He doesn’t deserve to don the Green and Gold. About the only place Jarrett Bush could step on a football field and be among equals is at Washington Middle School, or in Minnesota.
However, today the Packers decided to pay a defensive back who won’t make the dime package (does that make him 7th string?) a total of $4.5 million over the next three years, including a $1 million signing bonus. Bush will make base salaries of $1 million, $1.1 million and $1.4 million over the next three years, while functioning as a special teams player that commits penalty after penalty, and will cost the Packers at least two games per year, single-handedly.
Brilliant!
Brilliant fucking move, Ted Thompson, you stupid fucking douchebag! Just wonderful! Way to stick it to the rest of the NFL! You really showed ’em by taking this guy off the market!
This is a coup that could only be perpetrated by a mastermind.
And thy mastermind’s name be Thompson.
